An Autumnal escape at Wynyard Hall

Wynyard Hall is a luxurious country manor situated within 150 acres of tranquil grounds.

The long driveway leading to the hotel offers beautiful views of the imposing building and surrounding estate.Wynyard HallThe Suite

At check-in, a helpful member of staff welcomed me and showed me up to our room. We were fortunate to be staying in The Disraeli Suite; which boasts high ceilings, country chic furnishings and a separate lounge area (which was transformed into a bedroom for my friend). Each of the rooms at Wynyard Hall has it’s own bespoke decor, which I think is a such a great way to make every stay unique. The bathroom was spacious with two individual sinks, a rainfall shower, luxury robes and a range of Temple spa products. If there had been a bath tub, it would have been the perfect relaxing experience. The turndown service is such a lovely touch, there is something so calming about returning to your room at night and it already being prepared for you. There was a miniature bottle of Temple spa ‘Quietude’ spray left on the bed and it’s safe to say, I had a restful night’s sleep.

The Dining experience

We were seated in The Library to enjoy drinks and canapés whilst we decided what to order for dinner. It is such a beautiful room, with chandeliers and bookcases lining the walls. The Wellington Restaurant is in keeping with the grandeur of the hotel, with plush furnishings and incredible original oil paintings. The menu offers seasonal dishes created with locally sourced ingredients – some even foraged from the estate itself!I had the pork for my main accompanied by mixed greens, this was followed by a ‘pre-dessert’ which had a really interesting smoke effect. Finally, for dessert, I opted for iced parsnip and spiced cake as it sounded intriguing. The food was delicious with some really interesting options and the service was excellent.

Explore

We had an impromptu tour around the hotel and learned a little bit about the rich history of the estate. I would definitely recommend going for a stroll around the property and taking in the decadence, especially in the chapel – the details are stunning! Also, as the hotel is set in 150 acres of grounds including a lake and walled gardens, this is the perfect location for a walk. While we were visiting, the grounds were filled with beautiful Autumnal colours. The Verdict

Wynyard hall is a wonderful place to have a country escape, even for just one night. The rooms are filled with all of the amenities you could need for a luxurious and relaxing stay and with an on-site spa, what more could you wish for? What did you think of Wynyard Hall?

130 acres of land! That’s like a tourist destination on its own! The hotel looks really great, I don’t mind that it doesn’t have a tub because it has a rainfall shower. I love rainfall showers. :p

The bedroom looks so cozy and quaint, and I love the calming blue color scheme. I’m also obsessed with the red ivy on the outside of the building. I would consider staying there for sure.
