LA Travel Diary.

Our trip to LA was a whirlwind, we only had four days to explore the city but we made the most of the time we had there. Find out what we got up to in this LA Travel Diary.Los Angeles CityAfter a super long journey, our first stop was the pool to grab a drink and relax in the Californian sun. The Mondrian’s pool area has a really chill vibe with great views over the city and a delicious cocktail menu. Whilst we were lounging there was a crew filming for a new show, very Hollywood! We spent an afternoon in downtown LA and headed to Skyspace whilst we were in the area. It’s a really fun spot with a lot of interactive installations inside and a glass slide down the outside of the building! I had to try it out, but it wasn’t as scary as you might imagine because you’re at the bottom in no time. The real highlight is, of course, the view – it would be easy to spend all day on the terrace looking over the city.If you’re looking for the most Instagramable places in LA, head straight to Melrose Avenue. We stopped at the famous pink wall and ‘Made in LA’ before hitting up a sample sale at The Kooples.Speaking of shopping, browsing on Rodeo drive is a must, there are so many amazing stores in Beverly Hills, it’s difficult to leave without an arm full of bags.Thankfully, I brought my Antler luggage which is incredibly spacious for its size, not to mention stylish and excellent quality, plus it can definitely hold additional purchases from a shopping spree (or two!). I went with quite a tropical vibe for this trip, but I really wish I had brought along a few more jackets as the city did get chilly at night. Definitely something to consider when packing for LA – be sure your bag is big enough to bring layers!I we had a really fun time in Los Angeles and I am looking forward to returning to see more of what the city has to offer.

Hope you enjoyed this LA Travel Diary – I’m happy to say that even if you only have a limited amount of time in the city you can definitely see a lot of it’s main attractions.

Have you ever been to LA? If so, what was your favourite thing you did?

I grew up in LA, so posts like this always make me smile. I’m actually going back to LA this weekend and will be taking the train so I can wander around Olvera Street. I highly recommend it when you come back!

Glad you had a good time. I lived in LA for 4 years, so I never really think of the tourist side of the city. Looks like you had a great weekend though!

Thanks, Whitney. A lot of LA natives here 😉 I don’t think we particularly did the normal touristy things, but it was a fun time in the city regardless.

I remember when I visited Rodeo Drive, there is a Nike Town on it, or close to it and I filled up on Nike Beverley Hills products! I haven’t been to Melrose Avenue before, as an Instagram addict I must visit next time I’m in LA. I’ve not heard of Skyspace before either, this is something else to check out.

This sounds like fun in LA. I liked that bed/ sofas near the pool, nice place to lie down and have some coffee. The place you are sitting at the terrace looks so scary though. I wish I would get to visit this beautiful city someday. 🙂

Never been to LA! 🙁 But then I would have definitely enjoyed these very things.
And what a view from the terrace. The position looks slightly scary though. The pink wall makes a perfect background 🙂

L.A. is fancy and glamourous. Your photos are what makes me want to visit L.A. too someday. Skyspace looks like it has a super comfortable and trendy deck. There are probably a lot of people who just want to lounge there all day. Your Antler luggage looks nice and does not look bulky. I would definitely want to have one too.

We were actually approved to be in the back of the shots and they were kinda just filming us lounging as clips – who knows if we’ll make the cut haha! You should definitely check out Skyspace next time, the view is amazing!

LA is such a cool city, so glad you had a good time. The Pool at the Mondrian looks insane, very Hollywood indeed. I also love the cool little cafes in LA and the hiking, it’s got it all.

How fun! I’ve only been to LA once, and I was quite young so I feel like much of it was lost on me. I feel like it would be much cooler now. Skyscape sounds super cool! I had seen that slide on social media but hadn’t realized it was in LA!

Yeah, it’s a fun city. Skyspace was awesome, I’d definitely try out the slide if you visit, it’s over so quickly, but a great experience.

Awesome you went to LA. Check out the Standard Hotel next time in West Hollywood. I got married there. Cool vibe with an awesome pool scene.
